Misc Fires - Salt Lake County, UT - July 2011
The first incident occurred on the early morning of July 24, 2001 in the Cottonwood Heights section of Salt Lake County. It was dispatched as a structure fire and as units responded, a second alarm was transmitted. When I arrived I found that the fire was actually shrubbery burning in the front yard of the residence. Firefighters used class A foam to knock the fire down........The residence appeared to be unscathed and the homeowner reported it was started by fireworks. The second incident (Daytime) occurred in West Valley on July 24,2011. Firefighters arrived to find an attached garage containing an auto and motorcycle, heavily involved. The fire was quickly knocked down but not before causing significant damage to the 1 story residence. The last incident occurred in West Jordan, UT on the evening of July 25,2011. The incident was dispatched as a garage fire and as units responded, dispatched advised that a neighbor trying to extinguish the fire with a garden hose. The dispatcher then reported that a PD unit was only the scene with fire from the garage. I was on the scene behind the second due apparatus and still didn't get any decent shots.....
