Structure Fire - Grant Street - City of Poughkeepsie Fd w/ MA from the Arlington and Fairview FD's

The Arlington and Fairview Fire Departments responded under mutual-aid to the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department for a possible structure fire on Grant Street in the city on the evening Of November 28th. The cities equipment was tied up at another alarm with smoke in an apartment building and as Arlington and Fairview were in route, DC 911 received another call reporting smoke in the area. Arlington and Fairview arrived within several minutes and found an active fire on the first floor of a 20 x 40 2-story wood framed dwelling..... AFD and Fairview went to work and quickly extinguished the fire. The house was vacant and unfurnished which helped limit the fires spread and thus reduced the damage to the structure. The City of Poughkeepsie Police and Fire Departments are investigating the incident.
